Day 01 - 05: Sabi Sands Game Reserve

On arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport you will be met and assisted to the check in counter for your scheduled charter to Sabi Sands Game Reserve.

On your arrival at the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, you will be met by a representative from Kirkman’s Kamp who will then transfer you to the lodge in an open 4x4 safari vehicle.  Depending on your arrival time, you will be in time for some refreshments followed by your first game drive.

Kirkman’s Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and of the Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It is a well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920’s, and celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead. The colonial atmosphere of gracious style and luxury has been retained, and guests step back in time upon entering the original homestead, which now houses the Lodge’s sitting, bar and dining areas. Each of the 18 guest cottages has a private veranda and is furnished in the same charming style with en suite bathrooms. The large sitting room, with a 1920’s ambience, leads through double French doors onto rolling lawns that provide a velvety contrast to the wild and tumbling bush surrounding the Lodge. Breakfast and lunch are served on shady verandas, and dinners are shared in the dramatic boma or in romantic lantern lit bush settings. Game drives at Kirkman’s Kamp are made memorable not only by frequent sightings of Africa’s Big Five, but also because this exclusive eastern property of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve borders the Kruger National Park.

Spend 4 nights at Kirkman’s Kamp. Accommodation is in a cottage. Your stay is on a fully inclusive basis (including:   three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, scheduled safari activities and refreshments on game drives. Day 05 - 08:  Serenity Forest Eco Reserve

Today you will check out of Kirkman’s Kamp and you will be collected for your private road transfer to the Serenity Forest Eco Reserve.  Located only 19km from the famous “BIG 5” safari – Kruger National Park, Malelane gate.

Serenity is situated in a very unique bio-divers eco system, a combination of Kwa Zulu Natal and Mpumalanga. Some of the forest trees date back to more than a 1000years old and with that comes an abundance of bird species, rare butterflies, tree orchards, dragon flies and natural roaming game which are found in this reserve. Several ecological research studies are being conducted in the forests of Serenity due to its absolute virgin state. The mountains surrounding Serenity give birth to the BUFFALO RIVER which meanders through virgin forests and into the CROCODILE RIVER near Malelane which is the source of water supply to many people in the area. This crystal clear mountain stream flows steadily throughout the year.

Spend 3 nights at Serenity Forest Lodge.  Accommodation is in a luxury suite.  Your stay is on a full board basis (including:  welcome drink, luxury suite with private deck, afternoon tea and homemade decadent cakes, candle-lit gourmet dinner, English breakfast el-fresco style, romantic picnic in the forest and one 1 hour full body massage per person.  And choose ONE of the following guided day tours:  (minimum 2 guests per tour)  Kruger National Park game drive in open safari vehicle or Swaziland tour or Mozambique – “Day on the Beach” or Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary or Panoramic tour)

Day 08: Departure

Today you will be transferred Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, in time for your flight to your next destination (not included in the price)
