Upon your arrival at Durban International Airport a CC Africa representative will meet you, and you will be privately road transferred directly to Thonga Beach Lodge.

Thonga Beach Lodge is set on the pristine shores of the Maputuland coast, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. This 24-bed luxury lodge is the ideal place to discover one of the most unspoilt wilderness beaches left on the African continent. Mabibi is a magical place of coastal forests, grasslands, bush, shimmering lakes and exquisite sandy beaches. Its crystal clear, warm waters offer unparalleled snorkeling and fantastic off-shore scuba diving.

Spend three nights at Thonga Beach Lodge.  Accommodation is in a standard thatched en-suite room, with air-conditioning. Your stay is on a full board basis, including all scheduled activities offered by the lodge.

Day 04 – 07: Maputaland Region

Depart by air charter to Phinda Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal’s Maputaland region, for a unique and luxurious safari experience.

Face-to-face with lions and rhino after breakfast, up close to a Whale Shark or battling sailfish after lunch. That's the Phinda experience, one of the most exciting safari destinations in Africa. Located between the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and the lush waterways of the World Heritage Greater Saint Lucia Wetland Park, Phinda's 17 000 hectares span seven unique ecosystems. Nestled below the Lebombo Mountains of Northern KwaZulu-Natal, Phinda is a Zulu word meaning "the return". In one of the biggest reintroductions of game in Africa, Phinda was restocked with lion, rhino, buffalo, elephant, leopard, giraffe and other big game in an operation dubbed "phinda izilwane", or “return of the wild animals”.

Game drives are only one aspect of the Phinda experience.  There is little that can compete with the "Flight of the Fish Eagle" air safari - soaring over a bay where the diversity of species rivals Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Or floating past pods of hippo in a canoe or river boat. Scuba diving, snorkelling and deep-sea fishing are just a hop away. And in the evenings, immerse yourself in the ancient culture of Southern Africa's warrior tribe, the Zulu.

Accommodation at Phinda is unique. Forest, Vlei, Rock and Mountain Lodge each capture the magical flair of CC Africa. Phinda is not only a luxury destination, it is also a dynamic working model in wise land management and creative wildlife conservation

Spend four nights at Phinda Mountain Lodge or Phinda Forest Lodge.  Accommodation is in a suite, with spacious en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. Your stay is on a fully inclusive basis and includes all scheduled activities offered by the lodge.

Day 08: Johannesburg

After your early morning game activity and breakfast, you will be transferred by scheduled charter flight to Johannesburg International Airport.
