Explore the exceptional wilderness highlights of Namibia on this wonderful 13-day/12-night safari and desert adventure. At Okonjima Bush Camp, you can visit the Africat Foundation – a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibia’s threatened cats, primarily cheetah and leopard. Enjoy exceptional game-viewing in Etosha National Park, beautiful scenery and wildlife in Damaraland and the quaint coastal town of Swakopmund. Experience splendid accommodation at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge where you can discover the desert through a range of exciting activities.

Day 01:  Windhoek
Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako (Windhoek) International Airport you will be met and assisted with your car rental formalities and given a briefing.  Drive approximately 45 kms / 45 minutes to Olive Grove Guest House.

Spend one night at Olive Grove Guest House in a twin bedded room.  Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 02 & 03: Waterberg
Drive approximately 230kms / 3 hours to Okonjima Bush Camp.

Spend two nights at Okonjima Bush Camp in a twin bedded thatched rondavel.  Accommodation is on a full board basis including activities.

Okonjima is home to the Africat Foundation which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibia’s threatened cats, primarily cheetah and leopard.  Guests will be able to see this programme at work and learn more about these beautiful creatures, in addition to having some excellent photographic opportunities.   For clients wanting to get in touch with nature there are a number of walking trails including a guided San trail where you will learn about the traditional lifestyle and philosophy of these unique and ancient people. 

Day 04 & 05: Etosha
Drive approximately 370kms / 3 - 4 hours to Onguma Tented Camp.

Spend two nights at Onguma Tented Camp in a twin bedded tent.  Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis including two guided nature walks.

Day 06: Etosha
Drive to Ongava Lodge.  The distance covered depends on the game-drive routes guests choose and time spent game-viewing.

Spend one night at Ongava Lodge in a twin bedded rock and thatched chalet.  Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 07 & 08: Damaraland
Drive approximately 335kms / 5 hours to Mowani Mountain Camp.

Spend two nights at Mowani Mountain Camp in a twin bedded luxury East Africa-style view safari tent.  Accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis including two guided nature walks.

Day 09 & 10: Swakopmund
Drive approximately 330kms / 5 - 6 hours to Swakopmund Hotel.

Spend two nights at Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre in a twin bedded room.  Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 11 & 12: NamibRand Nature Reserve
Drive approximately 380kms / 5 - 6 hours to Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge.

Spend two nights at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge in a twin bedded suite built of natural rock.  Accommodation is on a full board basis including activities within the NamibRand Nature Reserve.

The surrounding area lends itself to numerous activities which include scenic drives by four-wheel drive vehicle on the NamibRand Nature Reserve where you encounter a variety of desert-adapted animals such as gemsbok, zebra, springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, caracal and jackal.  A wonderful way of experiencing the dunes is by All Terrain Vehicles with an experienced guide, who takes one along set paths in order not to damage the fragile ecology.   Guided nature walks and hiking trails provide an insight into the scenic and ecological aspects of the environment with its wide diversity of desert-adapted flora and fauna.  At the end of the day the blanket of stars, which lights up the desert sky, are brought to life through the lodge’s high-powered computerised telescope.   Housed in a separate building, this Meade Telescope affords the amateur and the professional stargazer a close-up view of the galaxy. 

Day 13: Windhoek
Drive approximately 380kms / 5 - 6 hours to Hosea Kutako (Windhoek) International Airport and drop off hired vehicle. End of services.
