How To Reserve Your Safari

We understand that selecting and booking your safari or tour on-line can be a daunting task. The following suggestions will make your task that much easier.

Begin by deciding what country you would like to visit. Select the country option from the safaris and tours page and view the safaris for those countries to familiarize yourself with our products.
Next, decide what type of safari you would prefer. If you're interested in one of our "tried and tested" scheduled safaris, book this first as the departure dates are fixed. This will make it easier to add any of our a la carte safaris to your itinerary. You are free to choose when you would like to commence on these a la carte safari modules.
Finally, once you have compiled your itinerary, complete the on-line information request form and submit it to our reservations department. An email copy of your booking request containing all the relevant details will be forwarded to you.
You will be contacted by one of our reservations staff who will guide you through the finer details of making your booking with Afro Ventures. Please note that confirmed reservations cannot be made without the relevant deposit. The balance is due to Afro Ventures eight weeks in advance for overseas bookings and six weeks in advance for local bookings. Please read the terms and conditions.

A Safari Dossier will be sent to you once the reservation has been confirmed.

Choosing a country:

Southern Africa is a vast and varied landscape that will satisfy any traveller's quest. Each country has its "big attraction" like Vic Falls in Zimbabwe, Okavango Delta in Botswana, Sossusvlei in Namibia, etc, but for the traveller to Africa, these are only the beginning. Each journey into Africa becomes intertwined with a myriad other experiences and each country has its unique nuances that blend to result in a most rewarding experience. In order to make a really qualified selection of which country to spend most of your time in, do as much reading as possible.

Planning your safari:

For most people, a safari to Africa is the realization of a dream of a lifetime. We understand that it can be an expensive adventure and for that reason have put together some guidelines that will help you in planning your safari. Before you begin, there are several questions you should ask yourself;

How much time do I have to travel?
What is my budget?
What time of year should I travel?
Where would I like to go?
What are my special interests?
Are there any special activities I'm interested in?
Do I need to make any special travel arrangements like visas?
Are there any medical considerations?
