Matobo Hills Package

Matobo Hills in Zimbabwe is an area with stunning scenery and it is also rich in history, art and culture. While here, visit World’s View, from where the moonscape of eerie wind-sculpted balancing rocks is quite awe-inspiring and stop by the enormous granite outcrop where Cecil John Rhodes is buried, view San (Bushmen) paintings, or encounter an African village, school and local clinic to see aspects of life in Zimbabwe today. Alternatively, you may decide to experience the thrill of tracking rhino on foot or go on a more leisurely game drive in the Matobo National Park.

DAY 1 Matobo National Park
On arrival at Bulawayo airport you will be met and transferred to the lodge of your choice. This afternoon enjoy a game drive into the western sector of the Matobo National Park which is known as Whovi Wild Area and is home to white and black rhino, buffalo, giraffe, eland, sable, zebra, impala, steenbok and various other species of game. Birdlife is prolific and includes the world’s largest concentration of black eagles. Overnight in twin bedded accommodation with en suite facilities on a full board basis.

DAY 2 Matobo National Park
Matobo Hills is an area with stunning scenery and it is also rich in history, art and culture thus providing a wide range of activities. You may opt to visit World’s View, from where the moonscape of eerie wind-sculptured balancing rocks is quite awe-inspiring. At the same time you will visit the enormous granite outcrop where Cecil John Rhodes and his deputies are buried. Your guide will take you to caves where you will learn about the well-preserved San (Bushmen) paintings which will give you some insight into a bygone era; whilst a visit to an African village, school and local clinic will show you some aspects of life in Zimbabwe today. Alternatively you may decide to experience the thrill of tracking rhino on foot or perhaps you will go on a more leisurely game drive in the national park. Overnight at the lodge of your choice on a full board basis



DAY 3: END OF TOUR
After an early morning activity and breakfast you will be transferred to Bulawayo airport.
